Wigan - Social Worker - Family Safeguarding Team
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Wigan. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and other professionals to provide effective support and interventions that promote positive outcomes for children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of families in need of support.

- Working closely with children, parents, and caregivers to build trusting relationships.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working within a Family Safeguarding context.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.
