We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Referral & Assessment Team in Wokingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting timely and thorough assessments of children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking initial assessments and making decisions on the most appropriate course of action Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Providing support and guidance to families, advocating on their behalf when necessary Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for ongoing supportThe ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration Proven experience in conducting assessments and working within a child protection framework Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseloadAdditional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
