We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Future Directions (Care Leaving Service) Team Manager to join our team in Barnsley. As the Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to young adults transitioning out of the care system, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Manage and lead a team of social workers and support staff to deliver high-quality services to care leavers. Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each young adult. Work collaboratively with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate services and resources for care leavers. Provide coaching and supervision to team members to enhance their professional development and ensure best practice. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the support provided, making adjustments as needed to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in working with care leavers or vulnerable young adults in a social work setting. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young adults and colleagues. Strong organizational and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of care leavers.

Additional requirements:

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate the needs of care leavers. Driving license and access to a vehicle for travel within the community. We are seeking a dedicated Non case holding SEND Advanced Practitioner (CWD) to join our team in the Qualified Social Work field. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to children with disabilities and their families.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and educators, to ensure holistic care and support for children.
