We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate CIC / Care Leavers Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Newcastle. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and assistance to children in care and care leavers, ensuring their well-being and helping them navigate through challenging life situations.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care and care leavers Providing direct support and intervention to address safeguarding concerns and promote positive outcomes Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community resources Advocating for the rights and needs of children in care and care leavers Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to ensure the best interests of the childrenThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration Experience working with children in care and care leavers, preferably within a local authority setting Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to children's services Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage a complex caseloadAdditional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the Newcastle area.
