Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team in Newcastle, specializing in supporting Children in Care (CIC) and Care Leavers. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable young people. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing tailored care plans for children and young people.
  • Providing ongoing support and advocacy for children in care and care leavers, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Working closely with multi-agency teams to deliver integrated services and promote the welfare of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children in care and care leavers, demonstrating a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and their families.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
