As a Qualified Social Worker in the Fostering Team, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing the needs of children and families to ensure their welfare and safety.
- Conducting thorough assessments and home studies for prospective foster carers.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers and children in placements.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local authority policies.
- Participating in training and development initiatives to enhance service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Care Wales.
- Experience working within a fostering or children’s social work setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with a commitment to child-centered practice.
