We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Haringey - TM - Court Team on an Umbrella basis, offering a competitive rate of £45.20 per hour. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families, working within a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for managing a caseload that involves court proceedings, providing expert assessments, and advocating for the best interests of children in care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Preparing and presenting evidence in court to support care proceedings.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to develop effective intervention plans.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker status with a valid Social Work England registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in child protection and court work.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Proficient in report writing and case management.
