Leicestershire's Children's Safeguarding Team is seeking a dedicated and qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Social Worker in the Children's Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs and risks of children and families, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conducting interviews and home visits to gather information and provide support to vulnerable children and families.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and stakeholders.
