Children's SSW - C&F Team - Stockport

Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work Service (C&F Team) in Stockport as a Qualified Social Worker! We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to support children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and community resources to provide effective interventions and support tailored to each child’s unique circumstances.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, promoting positive parenting practices.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children’s social work, particularly in child protection and family support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
