We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Coventry in the role of Looked After Children (LAC) and Adoption Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to children and families involved in the care system.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and creating care plans for children in care or those being considered for adoption
  • Working collaboratively with external agencies, including schools, healthcare providers, and the court system
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to promote positive outcomes
  • Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and other relevant meetings
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with statutory regulations and best practice guidelines

The successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working with Looked After Children and/or in the field of adoption
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make evidence-based decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
