We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment Team in Bedford. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services that support vulnerable children and their families in navigating challenges and accessing necessary resources.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and supervision to enhance service delivery.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to facilitate effective support networks.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of child protection legislation, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
