As a Children in Care Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans for children in care.

  • Providing supervision and support to junior social workers, sharing your knowledge and best practices.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience in children's services, particularly in children in care.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
