We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Southend-on-Sea. As a vital member of our team, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for those in our care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing effective care plans tailored to the needs of each child.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive parents.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care and ensuring their voices are heard.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children in care and a sound understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
