We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Knowsley. As a Social Worker within the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and appropriate interventions.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, ensuring the best outcomes for children.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, promoting independence and resilience.
  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and educational staff, to coordinate services and support.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
