We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's FCA (Family Court Advisor) to join our team in London at Cafcass. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children involved in family court proceedings.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting in-depth assessments of children and families to provide evidence-based recommendations to the family court.
  • Advocating for the best interests of children, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in legal proceedings.
  • Working collaboratively with social workers, legal professionals, and other agencies to develop effective care plans and interventions.
  • Attending court hearings and presenting clear and concise reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Providing support and guidance to children and families throughout the court process, promoting positive outcomes and emotional well-being.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court work within the social care sector.
  • Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to make informed and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
