Children's SW - Assessment Team - London Borough of Lambeth
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in the vibrant London Borough of Lambeth. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertake assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and partner agencies.
- Provide direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and HCPC registration.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and interventions in a child protection setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions.
