We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chair for the Lambeth Child Protection (CP) team, offering a competitive rate of up to £45.20 per hour on an Umbrella basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of children within our community. As the CP Chair, you will facilitate multi-agency meetings, lead case reviews, and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive effective child protection strategies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Chairing child protection conferences and strategy meetings with professionalism and authority.
  • Ensuring that all meetings are conducted in line with legislative requirements and best practices.
  • Providing guidance and support to social work staff and other professionals involved in child protection cases.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of child protection plans and interventions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with families, children, and other agencies.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
