We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Children and Families Team in Durham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children, young people, and families in need of support and intervention.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Undertaking assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to provide holistic support to families.
- Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings as required.
- Providing direct support and guidance to children and families to address issues and improve outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess:
- A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in children's social work, including child protection and court work.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and manage a complex caseload.
Additional requirements for this role may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
