We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team in Bury. This role offers a competitive rate of £38 per hour and an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and their families to develop and implement care plans
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure the best possible support and services are in place
  • Conducting risk assessments and safeguarding interventions as necessary
  • Participating in case conferences and court proceedings as required

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
  • Experience working in a similar role within Children's Services, ideally with a focus on disabilities
  • Strong assessment and case management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations
