We are currently seeking a dedicated CP Chair to join our team in Nottinghamshire within the Qualified Social Work field. As a CP Chair, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families by overseeing child protection conferences and reviews.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Chairing child protection conferences and reviews in accordance with statutory guidelines and best practice.
- Leading multi-agency discussions to assess risks and develop child protection plans.
- Providing clear and concise recommendations to safeguard vulnerable children and support families.
- Ensuring all decisions and actions are documented accurately and promptly.
- Working collaboratively with social workers, health professionals, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- A recognized social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in child protection work and chairing complex meetings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to assess risks and make informed judgments.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage a demanding caseload.
