We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Tameside - CP Chair to join our team in the field of Qualified Social Work. As a Tameside - CP Chair, you will play a crucial role in overseeing Child Protection conferences and reviews, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Chair Child Protection conferences and reviews in accordance with statutory guidelines and best practices.
- Lead multi-agency discussions to assess risks and develop comprehensive safeguarding plans.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to support decision-making processes regarding child protection interventions.
- Collaborate with social workers, healthcare professionals, educators, and other stakeholders to promote positive outcomes for children and families.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with significant experience in Child Protection and Safeguarding.
- Registration with Social Work England and a valid DBS certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to chair complex meetings and facilitate constructive discussions among diverse professionals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare.
