We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team at the London Borough of Islington. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in foster care.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and reviews of foster carers to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers to enhance their skills and capabilities
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals to create and implement care plans for children in foster care
  • Participating in case conferences and court hearings to advocate for the best interests of the children
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress and outcomes of placements to ensure the safety and well-being of children

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
