Children's SW - Family Support/Safeguarding Team - London Borough of Newham
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Family Support/Safeguarding Team in the vibrant London Borough of Newham. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable children and families to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertaking assessments of children and families in need of support
- Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard children at risk of harm
- Providing direct support and interventions to families to promote positive outcomes
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to coordinate holistic support
- Participating in case conferences and court proceedings as required
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
- Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding work
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases
