Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs and strengths of children with disabilities and their families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring that they have access to the necessary resources and services.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of best practices in supporting children with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, particularly with children with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
