Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored intervention plans to support children and families in need.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on best practices in child welfare and youth justice.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing support and professional development opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working within a children's social care setting, ideally within youth justice or prevention services.
- Strong understanding of legislation and policy related to child welfare and youth justice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
