We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our team in Stockport. As an IRO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and protection of children in care by independently reviewing and monitoring their care plans and making recommendations to promote their best interests.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting regular reviews of children's care plans to assess their progress and well-being.
  • Attending meetings with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to gather information and provide recommendations.
  • Advocating for the rights and needs of children in care to ensure they receive appropriate support and services.
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within children's services.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
