As a MASH/Assessment Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing support to families in need. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking initial assessments and ensuring timely interventions to safeguard children.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to gather information and provide a holistic approach to assessments.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring that all cases are handled in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Documenting case notes and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within a MASH or assessment setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Proficient in report writing and case documentation.
