We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Northampton. This is a permanent position offering an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in children’s social work, particularly in a CIC setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
