Children's SW - CIC Team - Blackpool

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) team in Blackpool. In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in care. You will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved for those you support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to improve their well-being and safety.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of all casework activities and decisions.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare and protection.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly those in care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage a varied caseload effectively.
