Children's Local Authority Designated Officer - Cheshire West and Chester
Cheshire West and Chester is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to join our dynamic Qualified Social Work team. Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and managing allegations against those who work with children.
- Providing advice and guidance to employers and voluntary organizations on safeguarding practices.
- Conducting investigations and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to allegations and investigations.
- Delivering training and support to staff on safeguarding policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
