Independent Reviewing Officer - Walsall - £38 ph umb
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our team in Walsall, offering a competitive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella). This role is crucial in ensuring that the needs and welfare of children and young people in care are effectively monitored and reviewed. As an IRO, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the best interests of children, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular reviews of care plans for children and young people in care to ensure their needs are met.
- Facilitating multi-agency meetings and ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders.
- Assessing and evaluating the quality of care provided to children and young people.
- Providing expert guidance and support to social workers and other professionals involved in the care of children.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best practice guidelines.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Significant experience in child protection, safeguarding, and working with children in care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
