CIC / LAC - Sr. Social Worker - Redcar £31/h
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CIC / LAC - Sr. Social Worker to join our team in Redcar. This position offers a competitive rate of £31 per hour and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Manage a complex caseload of Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC) to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, including advocacy, counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Participate in court proceedings, reviews, and meetings to advocate for the best interests of the children.
- Conduct risk assessments and safeguarding investigations to address any concerns promptly and effectively.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration.
- Demonstrable experience working with Looked After Children and Children in Care within a statutory setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure.
