We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Connected Carers Team in Stockport. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in foster care.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs of children in foster care and developing care plans
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Conducting home visits and monitoring the well-being of children in placement
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of children in care

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in children's services
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Strong assessment and case management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
