Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our community. As a Children’s Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, agencies, and the local community to assess needs, provide support, and advocate for the best outcomes for children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans based on assessed needs.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records and documentation in accordance with safeguarding policies.
  • Working closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
  • Participating in court proceedings and providing expert evidence when required.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
