As a member of our UASC team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of UASC and develop tailored support plans.
  • Building trusting relationships with children and their families to facilitate effective communication and engagement.
  • Collaborating with external agencies, including schools, health services, and legal representatives, to ensure holistic care.
  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to children, helping them navigate their journey in the UK.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England and a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly in the context of asylum and immigration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
