Independent Reviewing Officer | Nottingham City Council

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting independent reviews of care plans for children and young people in care, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Facilitating multi-agency meetings and consultations to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of care arrangements.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to social workers, managers, and other professionals involved in the care and support of children.
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of care plans, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
- Ensuring that children and young people's views are central to the review process and advocating for their rights.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working in children's social care, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a commitment to promoting best practices in child welfare.
