Children's SSW - Assessment/Safeguarding Team - Darlington

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks to inform safeguarding decisions.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and external agencies.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
- Providing support and guidance to families, promoting positive parenting and safeguarding practices.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
