Your key responsibilities will include:
- Chairing statutory reviews for children in care, ensuring the participation of children, families, and professionals.
- Monitoring care plans and progress, providing guidance and support to ensure the best outcomes.
- Advocating for children’s rights and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
- Collaborating with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to develop and implement effective care strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in children’s social work, particularly in child protection or looked-after children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
