We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Glos - CP Chair to join our dynamic Qualified Social Work team. This pivotal role involves leading and facilitating Child Protection Conferences, ensuring that child welfare remains at the forefront of our practice. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to create a safe and supportive environment for children and families in need, while also promoting best practices in child protection.
Key responsibilities include:
- Chairing Child Protection Conferences, ensuring all voices are heard and documented.
- Assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of child protection plans.
- Collaborating with social workers, health professionals, and legal representatives to develop comprehensive strategies for child safety.
- Providing guidance and support to families throughout the child protection process.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
Essential qualifications and skills for this position include:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Significant experience in child protection, including a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
