Children's ASW - Assessment Team - South Gloucestershire
Join our dedicated team in South Gloucestershire as a Children's ASW (Assessment Social Worker) within our Assessment Team. This pivotal role requires a passionate and skilled social worker committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring that the best interests of children are at the forefront of all decision-making processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
- Providing support and guidance to families to empower them in overcoming challenges.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgments in complex situations.
