Children's AP - Fostering/Assessment Team - Liverpool
Are you a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? We are seeking an experienced Children’s Assessment and Fostering Team Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Liverpool. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing support, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care and those at risk of entering the system.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners.
- Providing ongoing support to foster carers and children in placement.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legislation and policy.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment and fostering.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
