We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's TM - Child Exploitation and Missing Team in Yorkshire. This vital role requires a proactive individual who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play an essential part in identifying, assessing, and supporting children at risk of exploitation and those who are missing from home or care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and young people.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and relevant agencies.
  • Working closely with law enforcement, educational institutions, and community organizations to ensure a multi-agency approach to safeguarding.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:

  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in child protection or safeguarding contexts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices related to child exploitation and missing children.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
