Key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating allegations against individuals working with children, ensuring a thorough and sensitive approach.
  • Providing advice and guidance to employers and voluntary organizations on safeguarding matters.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure effective information sharing and safeguarding practices.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Delivering training and support to staff on safeguarding and child protection issues.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
