Children's SW - CWD Team - London Borough of Sutton
The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams, including health, education, and voluntary sectors, to ensure holistic support for children.
- Managing a caseload of children with disabilities, providing ongoing support and reviewing care plans to ensure positive outcomes.
- Advocating for children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected throughout the process.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and local policies.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child protection and social work.
