Children's TM - Commissioning Team - Lewisham
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Children's TM - Commissioning Team in Lewisham as a Qualified Social Worker. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children and families in the community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assessing the needs of children and families to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate services and support for children at risk.
- Conducting home visits and interviews to gather information and assess the safety and welfare of children.
- Participating in case conferences and court hearings to provide professional recommendations and testimony.
- Advocating for the rights and best interests of children in need of protection and support.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in child protection, safeguarding, and working with vulnerable children and families.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards and ethical practice.
