As a Children’s Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Carrying out statutory duties in line with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access services and resources.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:

  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload efficiently.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess and respond to complex situations.
  • Experience in working with children and families in a social work setting.
