We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Cambridgeshire. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, implementing effective interventions, and ensuring that the welfare of children remains at the forefront of all activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans and support strategies.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to coordinate services and support for families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss case management and professional development.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
