Children's IRO - Gateshead

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting independent reviews of care plans and ensuring that they are child-centered and outcome-focused.
- Facilitating meetings with children, families, and professionals to discuss care arrangements and progress.
- Monitoring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies, ensuring that all reviews are completed within required timescales.
- Providing advice and support to social workers and other professionals regarding care planning and review processes.
- Identifying and escalating issues of concern to ensure timely interventions are made for the welfare of the child.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working with children and families, particularly in a statutory context.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practices in child welfare.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with children and families.
