Social Worker - Fostering Team - £38.43 ph Umb
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Fostering Team on a temporary contract, offering a competitive rate of £38.43 per hour (umbrella). In this role, you will play a vital part in improving the lives of children and families through effective assessment, support, and intervention. You will be responsible for ensuring that the needs of children in foster care are met, working closely with foster families, biological families, and other professionals to promote the welfare of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and suitability for fostering.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with children, foster carers, and other stakeholders.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster families, ensuring they have the resources and training necessary to provide a safe and nurturing environment.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of fostering services and practices.
To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England or equivalent regulatory body.
- Demonstrable experience in fostering or child protection settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
