The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Need (CIN) Team. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will work collaboratively to assess and support children and families in need of assistance, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirements.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.
- Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access relevant services and resources.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification recognized by Social Work England.
- Registered with Social Work England and have current knowledge of legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
- Experience working within a Children in Need or similar setting is highly desirable.
